Australian Lowline results Toowoomba Royal Show 2019 – Lowline Feature

The Supreme Exhibit for Toowoomba Royal Show beef cattle feature breed, Australian Lowline, has been taken out by a 16-month-old heifer from Pittsworth.

Ebony New Attitude, owned by Travis and Wendy Caesar, was award Supreme Lowline Exhibit, after first taking out Junior Champion Female Australian Lowline.

She then went on to claim the Small Breed Interbreed Champion Cow.

Ms Caesar said this was Ebony New Attitude’s fifth show but the first time she had been named Supreme Exhibit.

“She’s my pride and joy,” she said. “It’s tough competition here so I wasn’t expecting this at all. I’ve only been doing this since 2017 so it is fantastic to get this result.”

Judge Shannon Williamson said  Ebony New Attitude was a great example of the Australian Lowline breed, with length of body and great squareness.

The Caesars also claimed the prize for Champion Female Calf with Ebony Noelle and Reserve Senior Champion Female Australian Lowline with  Alycam Lucerne.

Jacqui Schiller’s Lik Lik Notorious was the Grand Champion Australian Lowline Bull, after first winning Junior Champion Australian Lowline Bull.

Beef cattle committee chairman Cameron Collins said there were about 40 entries in the Australian Lowline section.

“Especially in this region we also seem to get a lot of smaller breeds entered,” he said. “They come from the Brisbane Valley, the Gatton area and even areas around here with smaller farms that are well suited to smaller breeds. It’s fantastic quality that the Australian Lowline breeders have presented, you won’t find any better. I would almost be bold enough to say it’s better than the Ekka.”
