Matt Cooney ALCA President
Twelve years ago, as a wide-eyed 13-year-old discovering the Australian Lowline breed for the first time, I never imagined that I would one day have the honor of serving as President of the Australian Lowline Cattle Association. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to lead and serve the association on behalf of all members.
Australian Lowlines are more than just cattle to me—they are my life. What started as a passion has become my full-time pursuit, driving me to leave my career in the telecommunications industry to dedicate myself wholeheartedly to this extraordinary breed. Today, I manage a thriving Stud Herd and enjoy expanding the presence of Australian Lowlines locally and overseas.
Beyond my devotion to the breed, I am equally passionate about fostering growth and development within our community. Leading a dynamic and talented ALCA Council is an immense privilege, and I am inspired by the collective expertise and enthusiasm of the council both past and present.
